“ We all like a desert at times. But when holidays arrive, friends and family getting together, it's a nice treat to have a desert offering. “ Rubino's is a fantastic spot just north of the city that I recommend highly. After getting out of the easy parking lot, you enter the market, and you're greeted with a great-smelling spot with a ton to offer. There's a line for sandwiches, etc. you pass if you're headed into the core of the space, which includes desserts, deli, meats, breads, pastas, specialty items, coffees, vegetables, frozen items, cheeses, etc. Rubino's has fair prices across the board, with meat specials being a major plus. Yesterday's baked goods are sometimes packaged at a steep discount, which is a good find too! There are most often a ton of people in the space so, though it's a pleasant browse, it can be a brisk pace. Rubino's is always worth a visit when in, near, or willing to head to Irondequoit! ”

“ Excellent full Italian market with a strong sub counter. Had the best cannoli of my life here, but the cannoli was soggy and bland the next time I got one. The chicken parm sub ($10.99) on everything bread with roasted peppers, lettuce, and mozzarella wasn't good, but it could've been because it was cold when I ate it at a rest stop the next day. I would get the meatball pepperoni in the future. I got a large eclipse cannoli ($2.59) which was just chocolate and regular cannoli cream. The filling of the cannoli was creamy and rich and sweet but not crazy sweet. The cannoli shell was held together well but was a bit soggy. The cannoli was better than the worst one I had here and not as good as the best I had there. It could've been because it was a day old. I also bought a Rubino's cannoli beer. What I ordered was not exemplary, but I still believe this place is fantastic. ”

“ I grew up coming to Rubinos. It's so nostalgic and their hot bar food, subs and deli are phenomenal. I love stocking up on Anna pasta and trying new sauces and cheeses when I'm there. Old school Italian, I love it in there. The 4 and not 5 star rating is due to their customer service. Not the friendliest ladies around, but that doesn't keep me away! ”

“ When you're not looking for those mile high subs and just want a super fresh and delicious sandwich, Rubino's will be your go-to joint! The market offers a plethora of options if you need authentic Italian ingredients, need to pick up cold cuts, pastries, ready made food, assortment of cheeses or have a hankering for a sandwich. You build your own on a lottery ticket form, hand that off to the sandwich delicatessen and then wait for the magic to happen. The bread is so good- soft with a great chew to it but also absorbs the dressings without getting too soggy. Really enjoyed this spot and will visit again when I'm in town! ”

“ Visited here to buy sub rolls and Italian sausage for the Memorial Day weekend. Purchased the pizza sausage, scotch ale, and a few others serving 16 people. Feedback was that the sausage was great. The store was super busy, but easy to find and plenty of parking. I'll be back when in the area as the store was clean, well stocked, and staff was friendly. ”

“ This was a wonderful Italian food store. In addition to the arancini and chicken parm, we got focaccia, chocolate chip cannoli, and whole wheat capellini. All food was delicious! “ We were near lunch time and looking for a place. Driving down the street they had a lot of customers. This is an italian market that has a lot of deli counter business. There was a sandwich counter and a pasta salad counter. I went for an everything and then some sandwich. It was huge. We were satisfied and got back on the road. ”

“ What can I say, other than I love Rubino's! Rubino's is a small, family run, Italian import store. I have been going there since I was born, and continue to go often. Everything they sell is of the highest quality. The subs are amazing...I highly recommend the "Capo!" They have a huge selection of olives, olive salads and such, as well as a huge variety of Italian cheeses. The Deli is always well stocked, and their homemade Italian sausages are to die for! The bakery always has the best Italian bread. The dessert cooler is always full of Italian classics, from cookies, to cannoli and eclairs. Every time I visit, I discover something new! The service is always friendly, and always prompt. I consider myself very fortunate to live just down the road from Rubino's. I highly recommend visiting, and taking the time to explore the store...you'll be amazed at what you can find! ”
